Spinney Vets, which was previously known as Spinney Lodge, invested \u00a3215,000 in a rebranding and major expansion project, which included the transformation of its Wootton Fields surgery, and enlisted the help of local pupils to celebrate the completion.<\/p>\n
Youngsters were tasked with creating animal-themed art, which visitors to the surgery will now be able to enjoy.<\/p>\n
The winning entries were from Caroline Chisholm School and Hardingstone Academy.<\/p>\n
Clinical director of Wootton Fields, Lisa Bond, said: \u201cWe are extremely excited that our ambitious plans have been realised and that local pupils have played a lasting part in marking the completion.<\/p>\n
\u201cIt was difficult to choose the final art pieces as so many talented youngsters rose to the challenge and there was an abundance of brilliant entries to choose from.<\/p>\n
\u201cBut there had to be winners, and we hope our visitors enjoy looking at the artwork as much as we did choosing the pieces which are now gracing the walls of the surgery.<\/p>\n
\u201cThey look wonderful and we would like to thank all those youngsters who worked so hard on their amazing pieces.\u201d<\/p>\n
At Wootton, Spinney has doubled the number of consulting rooms from two to four in order to accommodate three vets and a veterinary nurse.<\/p>\n
It now boasts x-ray facilities, which means owners no longer need to travel to Spinney\u2019s hospital on Kettering Road to have their radiographs taken.<\/p>\n
The new facilities also provide a larger dedicated operating theatre, with multi-parameter monitoring of pets while under general anaesthetic, assessing any changes in their vital signs.<\/p>\n
Our improved laboratory equipment allows us to perform routine blood samples on site.<\/p>\n
